ON THE NEWS WITH LORD MAYOR SHOW HABERDASHERS' ADAM SCHOOL

This weekend we are thrilled to be working for Haberdasher Adams School for their promotional activity at the Lord Mayors Show in London.

The Lords Mayor Show is an annual celebration that has been running since 1215. The Lord Mayors Show celebrates the history of the first elected London Mayor, in which the Mayor presented their loyalty and took an oath to the King. Over the years we have taken part in the event with a variety of clients and this year it’s great to do so with Haberdasher Adams School.

Haberdasher Adams is a Grammar School located In Newport Shropshire for boys 11 - 18 and girls from 16 -18 years. The school was founded in 1656 by William Adams a wealthy member of the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers.  The school believes in traditional values with a modern approach.

This was a perfect year for the school to be invoiced at the Lord Mayor William Russell is a Haberdasher and also a former Governor of Adams.

Our open top bus was transformed into their own bespoke branded parade vehicle. External vinyl graphics were applied to the exterior of the bus. The bus has been designed that material hanging banners can be used also, but we think the use of vinyl banner graphics provides a much more corporate finish. Using our scaled templates the designers at the school were able to create the design showing the school's crest, and stunning imagery which worked really well against the natural light grey base colour of the bus.

This was the first event of this kind that the school had been involved in and our team were able to take care of the all logistics security protocol that is required for such a large scale public event.

The open top bus was the fourth out of 143 entries in the parade. The pupils dressed in uniform to reflect different areas of the school including sporting uniforms and the traditional blazers.

Some pupils, the Taiko drummers tool price of place positioned on the upper deck and entertained the watching crowds along the procession route. This was supported by more students walking alongside the bus.

The event is shown on BBC TV and with such a prominent place in the parade, it was great to see the coverage of the school on our open top bus!
