Milton Keynes International Festival began in 2010 and is a bi annual festival. Commbus have been involved since 2012. The Festival takes over Central Milton Keynes for 10 days with a world-class, multi-arts programme of amazing events in a variety of settings across the city. The festival is produced by renowned music organisation The Stables.
For this year’s festival Commbus supplied a variety of event support vehicles and event staff for some of the events taking place.
At Cathedral of Trees, Newlands which was the beautiful setting for ‘Under the Vaulted Sky” A production by award-winning choreographer Rosemary Lee,
- Event Support Trailer for a back stage office and a stock trailer for moving items for the performance around the site.
At the Main Festival site at Willen Lake, the setting the for Ilotopie’s Water Fools and Festival Central. Festival Central was home to the magnificent Spiegeltent and the site for outdoor performances, family events and Acoustic Stage, food outlets, bars and festival box offices.
At this site Commbus provided:
- Event Support Bus which across the 2 decks became a dressing room for festival artists on the upper deck and an office for the site manager and Spiegeltent Manager
- Site Manager for Festival Central site at Willen Lake, Milton Keynes
- Event Crew on site at Festival Central and Lucie Lom: Les Reveurs – Mysterious figures popping up across the city at different locations each day across the city.
