This month will see the biggest ever university strikes take place. UCU (University College Union) are calling on their members from 74 universities to begin 14 days of strike action.
Today our some of our event support team are in London with our Landstage providing services for the UCU rally.
Our Landstage was designed for a client to solve an issue they had for a Guinness World Record attempt and since then it has provided a stage for a range of outdoor events across the UK. The Landstage with an optional roof (almost a must for a rally in February with British weather became the focal point for the assembly point of the March.
With only a 20 minute window for set up once the road closure had been put in place at Tavistock Square in central London our Landstage is the perfect option for a mini stage. Using our adapted Landrover 110 pre-rigged with the stage in place, the roof structure takes just minutes to construct. With the additional facilities of an onboard inverter and fixing points for mounting items such as speakers and branding for the event.
For this event, our Landstage is teamed with a PA system rigged next to it with a HIAB vehicle mounting the speakers high into the air to reach the thousands expected to turn up.
We have worked with production manager Alex Burrow on many occasions and thought the year he uses the Landstage in many different ways. Alex works with us as he knows we can adapt our vehicles to suit the exact event and our reliable team will always be win position on time.
With a wealth of experience across the events sector we can provide you with many services and solutions for your event or campaign.
