Our Open Top Bus was the stage at Parliament Square for the finale of the rally that began on the Southbank and marched through central London.
With 1 day events, rallies, and demonstrations in Central London the most key factor is time-sensitive logistics. In the majority of cases, the setup and de-rig time frames don’t allow for traditional stages to be brought in and built. Organisers of such events need a solution that can be brought in and set up moments after the road closure begins and that can be de-rigged just quickly.
Our Open Top Bus has been designed to be the perfect solution. The upper deck has been designed to be a flexible space allowing for use such as a stage.
Within our event support services, we have a range of event equipment that can be hired alongside or independently from our fleet of buses. You can find out more by visiting our HIRE SHOP (link)
This event also supplied crowd barriers and refreshment facilities for all the guests and those working on the event. Working with our client the event production manager we were able to install a canopy and large scale sound system to our Open Top Bus.
Presenting to the crowds who had gathered after the march on the day from the upper deck of our Open Top Bus included;
Writer, broadcaster & activist Sandi Toksvig, poet Nikta Gill, Urban Voices Collective, singer Emeli Sandé and the London Mayor Sadiq Khan
The overarching message from today's event:
There’s no climate justice without gender justice
