CAMPAIGN: Fastlane: Road to Revenge game launch

Space Ape Games have a mission to create the best mobile games. For the launch of one of their games; Fastlane, the Space Ape Games team wanted to make some noise and be noticed and showcase the ethos of the game. Space Ape Games describe the game as ‘a mass casual retro arcade shooter with bags of personality designed to bring irreverence and style that resonates with today’s mobile gamers'. The style derives from its urban theme, larger than life characters and humour from an eclectic library of music. Our open top bus was the perfect vehicle for this gaming launch event. Space Ape Games wanted to travel around London inviting influencers' involved that featured in the game to celebrate the launch.

The key elements for this campaign was the external bus wrap and hosting passengers onboard.

One of Fastlane’s key features is a collaboration with gamings popular YouTubers and influencers. In - game live events mean you can interact in unique ways with each of them. The style and characters from the look and feel of the game - provided great inspiration for the external bus wrap.

Sales Director Clare Macleod said ‘ The wrap looks amazing - certainly one of the most impressive and eye catching designs we have ever had on our open top bus.’

Our Commbus Open Top bus provides so much more than just carrying passengers. Designed for events and exhibitions we have on board power facilities and a flexible internal layout. Seating on the upper deck is booth style and can be re-configured which allows creative use of the space. On the lower deck we have further seating and space offering work stations, storage and kitchen facilities.

Once many of the influencers depicted on the external bus wrap had checked out there visual self they were welcomed on board. With funky internal decorations through the bus, and plenty of refreshments on board guested headed upstairs where a DJ with decks was set up providing the music.

The Fastlane launch party bus headed off from the Space Ape Games Studio in the heart of Soho London and travelled across the city picking up more guests. Visiting iconic landmarks across the city and traveling to London Kings Cross Station, where we paused to collect more guests and we were treated to a flash mob performance to one of the main tracks featured in the game.
