CLIENT BRIEF

Gemalto is a global market leader in digital security their aim is bring trust to an increasingly connected world. With GDPR on the horizon with its planned implementation  date in May 2018 in May 2017 they wanted a way to engage with their existing customer base and showcase their latest solutions to potential new clients.

COMMBUS SOLUTION

In order to create relaxed yet professional feel to the bus, we felt it was important for members of the GDPR to be seated at high desks to create the demo look & feel, the seats being of a orange colour to match with the campaign colours. To give the desks a different edge, we decided to add LED strip lighting to the face, giving it the exhibition look. With storage an important aspect given the amount of marketing materials, we also had the desks made with storage space inside. The front wheel arch to the bus was used to showcase the marketing materials, with clients able to pick up at the leisure when entering the bus. Once on the upper deck, we created a refreshments area at the front, consisting of a small fridge and a luxury coffee machine, clients were offered this before entering the consultation area situated to the rear of the upper deck. To create a private area, we assembled a perspex wall which we added subtle Gemalto logos to with a middle door for entrance. Within this room, we constructed a bespoke table, big enough for note taking without taking up seating space, which consisted of 4 separate sofas (not sure on the word sofas). The presentations were then shown on a curved plasma screen, provided by Commbus.

ON ROAD

The bus started in York on 23rd May, before finishing in London at the largest European security event - InfoSecurity Europe - in June. On board the bus, Gemalto had experts in Identity, Encryption and Key Management who would take their clients through the six steps process to ensure compliance to GDPR, all of which was showcased in the lower deck demo area. As clients were booked on to the bus, Gemalto housed different timed demos & consultations, therefore once finished in the demo area, clients were then directed upstairs, where they could grab a refreshment before taking a seat in the consultation room. Clients were shown various presentations hosted by the experts at Gemalto and after were given complimentary gift bags on their exit.
